CGWE's Expanding Efforts

In addition to the Debaree program, CGWE is also planning to expand its efforts in these areas:

  • Education designed to highlight rural community’s harmful traditional practices and other forms of violence perpetrated against women and girls in 2015 such as female genital mutilation and forced marriage.

  • As a result of the solar lights, the Kombo community is using less firewood and gas.
  • Students of CGWE beneficiaries are getting better grades at school.
  • People in Kombo villages are cutting less wood for fire (environmental impact) and suffer less from smoke induced eye-vision problem (health impact).
